Nonprofit Leaders Outscored Their Business Counterparts in a 360-Degree Evaluation Community Resource Exchange in New York, a nonprofit social-change consulting firm, in partnership with Performance Programs Incorporated, a consulting firm that specializes in leadership and organizational assessment, conducted a research study comparing the results of a Clark-Wilson Leadership Survey of Leadership Practices between 2002 and 2006. . The 360-degree evaluation of nonprofit leaders and business leaders was based on feedback from direct reports, managers, peers, and a category called "others." Nonprofit leaders outscored for-profit leaders in 14 out of the 17 dimensions of leadership practices queried. These findings are very important for potential contributors, boards of directors, and the public that often sees the nonprofit sector as the lesser sector.
